CELEBRATING 70 YEARS OF BRANCH 5 WITH A TRIP TO ANGLESEY
As a club we felt we had to do something special to Mark the clubs 70th Anniversary so a trip to Anglesey was planned and other local diving clubs were invited to join us. The plan was to get 70 divers in the water for a dive on the Missouri followed by a BBQ on the beach.
The weather didn’t let us down it was a gorgeous sunny weekend and the viz in the water was the best we had seen in Anglesey for some time.
We would like to extend our thanks to the clubs that joined us, The Potteries Divers, Chester Sub Aqua Club, Rhosniger and Amlwch Divers.
The planning to coordinate so many divers in the water at various times was a tall order so a specialist sub-committee was organised to oversee all aspects of safety, setting up and securing a boat exclusion zone. Thanks you to everyone involved in the organisation and making the weekend a very successful one.
