Merseyside Sub-Aqua Club has been successfully training divers since it started in 1954 and is very focused on diver training and development.
We are very lucky to have a large group of very experienced and very enthusiastic instructors. Led by our Training Officer and two assistants we have every level of instructor from National Instructor through to new trainee instructors who have just started the instructor training process.
We can offer BSAC instruction from complete beginner, with no experience, onwards to most levels of diving.
We do this through our regular Thursday night club sessions in the pool before progressing to inland sites such as Eccleston Delph or Capernwray and then on to dives in the sea.
We regularly run BSAC diver courses starting with Ocean Diver and progressing onwards to Sports Diver, Dive Leader, and Advanced Diver
We also run many of the BSAC Skill Development Courses. Recently this has included:- Boat Handling, Chartwork and Position Fixing, Dive Coxswain Assessment, Compressor Operation, Mixed Gas Blending, Oxygen Administration,, First Aid for Divers, Automated External Defibrillator, Practical Rescue Management , Accelerated Decompression Procedures , Twin Set Diver and Buoyancy and Trim Workshop
