70TH DIVE AWARDS EVENING 2024
This year saw the club celebrate 70 years as an established BSAC diving club which made this year all the more special. The evening saw us back at Birkenhead Rugby Club with the menu prepared by Alley Cats who did us proud once again.
As well as the usual awards for Diver of the Year, Trainee of the Year, Ocean Diver, Sports Diver and Dive Leader qualifications we also had extra awards for Newly qualified IFC Instructors, MOD 1 & 2 Divers, 3 golden egg awards and a special award to our Club Secretary who has had a very busy year.
There were also two special awards for 2 members that have both been diving with the club for more than 50 Years with both of them receiving a signed letter of recognition from Prince William.
Golden Egg award presented to Chris Wood for a failed Trip to Scotland that caused damage to both club boats, think he knew that award was coming.

Silver award to The Major (Alan Jones) who beached his boat in the cockle hole for 10 hours
Bronze to Tony Fitzpatrick for failing to start the boat and needing a tow because he had walked away with the kill cord and forgot to re-insert it.
